HORSENESS

It is said that the philosopher Antisthenes once told Plato, “I see the horse, but not horseness,” to which Plato replied, “Because you do not have the eyes to see it.”
“Cavallinità – The Magic of Form” marked a pivotal moment in my artistic journey, both for the significance of the venue – La Versiliana, a historic villa set within a striking pine grove just steps from the sea, once frequented by Gabriele D’Annunzio – and for the profound dialogue it fostered with the public.
“Fiasella has not made instrumental use of the horse, as often occurred in art, but has succeeded in capturing its essence – its horseness, its unadorned being,” recounts Marilena Cheli Tomei, curator of the event together with Lodovico Gierut.
