LOVERS is a later graphic study of the sculpture bearing the same title, created in an attempt to explore new formal solutions on the theme.
The mark is free, assertive, raw. The result is an unfinished work, still open to a thousand possibilities – and it is precisely for this reason that it retains the vitality so often found in preparatory studies.
